Art Pride NJ
Please take two minutes to contact your NJ elected officials and let them know that you are concerned about proposed cuts to state cultural funding.
Remind them that:
- New Jersey's arts and history communities contribute over $2 billion to our State's economy and that
- funding comes from a dedicated revenue source legislated to create a stable source of State cultural support that
- there is no better return on the State's investment- it is estimated $50 million in State tax revenue!
Visit www.artpridenj.com, click on Action Alert and email your district legislators. Tell your story of why arts and history are important to you. It's a simple way to have your voice heard and to make a difference! ACT NOW!

Did you see us on NBC 10's Wednesday's Child with Vai Sikahema Darnell and Dasamere?
NBC 10's Vai Sikahema, the host of "Wednesday's Child," a segment sponsored by the National Adoption Center, Freddie Mac Foundation and NBC 10 to promote the adoption of children, took 9-year-old Darnell and 10-year-old Dasamere to the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown and they learned the art of pottery.
Josh from the Perkins Center started them off easy and had them make clay pots using pre-made bowls. Vai got his hands dirty too in his first attempt. But soon all three of them were throwing pots like the pros.
The brothers are looking forward to finding a forever family who will be able to share experiences with them. The boys said they want to stay with each other in the same family. "It means a lot. I'm not playing around with that, it means a lot," Dasamere said. "We're more than best friends, we're brothers," Darnell said.
If you would like to be the family for Darnell and Dasamere or for any Wednesday's Child sponsored by the Freddie Mac Foundation, please call the National Adoption Center at 1-866-DO-ADOPT.
