Ballet I & Tap I

For Ages 5 - 7

This combination Ballet and Tap class focus on the foundations of classical ballet and tap using creative elements to learn traditional terminology and class structure. The first part of class consists of stretching to improve flexibility, barre to strengthen the core, center work to build fine motor skills and across the floor to build the dancers relationship to space and shape. The second part is tap class for beginner students. We will learn all the basic tap techniques like toe taps, heel drops, flaps and shuffles and will build on these basic skills to learn combinations. Ballet and Tap shoes are required.

Ballet II

For Ages 6 - 9

This Ballet class focuses on the foundations of classical ballet using traditional ballet terminology and class structure. Class consists of stretching to improve flexibility, barre to strengthen the core, center work to refine motor skills and across the floor to refine the dancer’s sense of space and shape. Students will also work on expanded ballet vocabulary, combinations to improve coordination and creative elements to expand confidence in their grace and movement. This class is recommended for students who have previously taken Ballet. Ballet shoes are required.

Ballroom Dancing Fundamentals

For Ages 7 - 10

Boys and girls: Impress your friends and relatives with your smooth moves! Moms and Dads, your children will amaze you as they begin to use floor etiquette, posture, footwork, body action, and musical timing while they enjoy dancing the basic figures to today’s popular music. Ballroom dancing has tremendous benefits: respect for yourself and others, fun exercise, and learning a sport you can enjoy and show off at weddings for the rest of your life. Suggested Supplies:
Girls: snug, leather-soled sandals or shoes with closed heels
Boys: leather-soled shoes

Classically Creative Dance- Thursdays

For Ages 4 - 6

This pre-ballet class offers the foundations of classical ballet using creative elements to learn traditional terminology and class structure. The class consists of stretching, barre, center and floor work utilizing fun themes like nature and animals. The class is designed to build on finer motor skills and improve agility and coordination by using an expanded pre- ballet vocabulary and development of classical pre-ballet technique. A wide variety of props and scarves are used to add to the fun! Ballet shoes are required.

Fabulous Fairy Dancers

For Ages 4 - 5

Disney fairies are the inspiration for this creative movement class. Each week students will participate in stretching and cooperatively working with peers in group dances. Students will learn pre-ballet technique on the barre and will evolve their sense of rhythm. Children will also use their individual creative energy in exercises that improve large and fine motor skills, improve balance and refine coordination all while having fun. A wide variety of fairy items are used to add to the fun! Ballet shoes are required.

Pretty Princess Dancers

For Ages 3 - 4

Disney princesses are the inspiration for this creative movement class. Each week students will participate in stretching and cooperatively working in group dances. Children will develop a sense of rhythm, balance and coordination while learning pre-ballet technique on the barre. Children will also use their creative energy in exercises across the floor that improves individual large motor skills and agility while having fun. A wide variety of princess items are used to add to the fun! All students must be potty trained and Ballet shoes are required.

Toddler Tap and Tutus- Thursdays

For Ages 3 - 5

Combining creative ballet and tap in this fun hour class. Each week during the first part of class students will participate in stretching and cooperatively working with peers in group dances. Children will develop their sense of rhythm, balance and coordination and also learn pre-ballet technique on the barre. Children will also use their individual creative energy in exercises across the floor that improves large motor skills and agility. The second part of class will be basic tap technique and fun dances based off The Sweet Tap curriculum with dances like The Bubble Gum Bounce and Sweet Tooth Shuffle. All students must be potty trained. Ballet & Tap shoes are required.
