Digital photography is not the only way to take pictures. Learn how to use a "traditional" film camera and explore the use of photography as a means of self-expression. Students will do their own darkroom work developing skills on how to create a photo print out of negatives they process. We will also make our own pinhole cameras in class and developing these negatives and positive prints.
Teen Art Course (TAC) is a new class that will offer painting, drawing and printmaking for teens of all ages. Students will work at their own pace on projects that are designed to improve their individual skills. Drawing, painting and printmaking activities will be available for all skill levels, allowing new students to learn the basics while challenging advanced students preparing for high school and college art programs to bring their art to the next level. TAC students will work on technical skills like color, value, composition and perspective. Subject matter will include still life, portraiture, figure, landscape, and abstract design.
