This class will guide students through the fundamentals of working with clay. Students will be introduced to basic skills of handbuilding and working on the potter's wheel. Students also will be introduced to a variety of decorative and glazing techniques. This course may be repeated.

This course emphasizes the fundamentals (and beyond) of working on the potter's wheel. Wedging, centering and throwing will be presented, as students will be encouraged to try new techniques and develop their skills. The focus of this class will be form and function as it pertains to pottery for everyday use. Glazing techniques will be discussed and demonstrated

In this class, emphasis will be placed on exposing the student to a variety of throwing and altering techniques for making unique pottery forms as well as surface decoration and glazing techniques. Students will progress their pottery making skills and will have flexibility for individual expressive goals. This course is open to all students, please let us know if you are beginner when you are registering.
