Materials List
Canvas
Pre Stretched canvas available at art stores sizes: 8 x 10, 16 x 20
( Keep them to a manageable size so you can transport them more easily)
Canvas paper which comes in pads of various sizes that can be taped to a board (You will need to supply your own board if you use this type of canvas)
Canvas Boards very cheap and easily transported
Brushes I would suggest a combination of brushes:
Bristle: Flat size 6,or8 , Filbert size 6 or 8 ,(which is slightly rounded sides), round sizes 6, 8, & 10, and a fan brush ( I would suggest a couple of each, and a large flat synthetic 2 inch brush for wide areas of painting. You can buy this kind of brush at home depot or Lowes.
Synthetic brushes :
For oil the same types mentioned for bristle, you want some synthetic brushes for oil.
And again look at what they have online at Dick Blick or ASW art supplies to get an idea what they look like.
I use a variety of synthetic round brushes from 4 through 8 or 9
Other items you will need:
ORDERLESS Turpentine, Linseed oil, medium cups, rag paper towels, palette knife (plastic is fine),palette ( disposable is fine which gives you about 50 sheets in each one so get the largest you can find).
