Volunteer Social Media Intern

Perkins Center for the Arts is seeking a Social Media Intern at the Center’s Moorestown location. The individual selected for this volunteer position will be responsible for expanding the Center’s Social Media Campaign in connection to an audience development project, Social Artworking: Be a Part of Art. The candidate will work closely with the Assistant Director and Manager of Projects and Special Events at the Center and will be responsible for utilizing social media websites to develop a rapport between Perkins Center and online friends: deepening relationships with current friends, generating new ones, starting conversations, listening and responding to comments, becoming an assertive and consistent internet presence. The candidate should have a familiarity with the arts or non-profits and also a familiarity with the following websites: facebook, twitter, picassa or flicker, slide share, wiki, linked in, Digg, Stumble Upon, or Del.icio.us, and other related social media sites.
